The Mara is still full of activities and game viewing excitement. Although it is drier in many places, the rains we had last month, though not widespread has changed some parts of the Mara to an attractive green. This has brought a confusion to the migrating animals, making them engage in unpredictable movement here in the Mara game reserve, to an extend of some wildebeest and zebras started going back as early as now to Serengeti. But the rains are localized just falling in some part and not widely spread all over the places of their interest. The Mara is still full of activities and game viewing excitement. There are still big herds of wildebeests in the Mara, but in patches, especially where there is short green grass. The herd at Burrungat plains and along Olkeju-Ronkai are grazing facing west and some north. While another herd of wildebeest and zebras are grazing a round Meta plain and around lookout hill showing relaxed moods of not waiting to cross the river.A big herd of wildebeest is a round Rhino ridge, Topi plains, all the way to Musiara. The natural pools of water in the plains where wildebeest and zebras are grazing are slowly drying up.Herds of wildebeest and zebras that ventured beyond the borders of the reserve to the conservancy have retreated back into the reserve heading generally down south. Musiara is still a converging zone where herds split and take these two different routes. A group of wildebeest has crossed Talek River towards Burragat and posse plain through olmisigiyio down. Still a few herds are grazing on the plain east of our camp and on the edge of the reserve and the conservancies
